Salt Lake

My man and I were lucky enough to be able to get a way for the weekend.
It was so much fun to be able to spend some time alone - even if I was missing the kids just about every
minute :)

We headed down to Salt Lake on Friday and man, I forgot how nice it was to be able to run into the store together without fighting the child about getting a toy and all the lovely things that involve having kids.

We checked into our hotel which was AMAZING!
After getting comfortable and settled in, we headed to Temple Square.

Isn't that beautiful?!
I love it there.
It's so pretty.
Nick and I had one of our first dates at Temple Square and have gone back for an earlier anniversary so needless to say it's one of our go to places.

Afterwards we headed to Pier 49 Pizza because Im borderline obsessed.
It took us 40 minutes to find it and park.
Ridiculous! But so yummy.

Then we went to the Gateway, walked around and went to the Clark Planetarium which was super interesting, I haven't been in a long time.

Needless to say we were pooped so we headed back to the hotel.
Nick fell asleep right away but I couldn't sleep until 2 in the freakin morning.

The next day we headed to Lagoon.
Thats right, I said LAGOON!

Im getting too old for that place.
It was a lot of fun going on rides and it was the first time I had ever been when it wasn't blazing hot but it all got old fast.
Too many crazy kids.
It felt so strange that all the people running the machines looked like they were 12.
And we got sick of getting stuck in line with couples licking each others faces like they were taking the whole Twilight craze to a new level.

(your welcome for that scary pic of my hair.)

So we headed home exhausted to get our kids.
I was so happy to see them again!
We had barely been gone for more than 24 hours but I missed them so much!

I had an amazing time with my awesome husband and it feels so good to be home. :)

Nope, on our way home Nick said "oh shoot, we forgot to go to IKEA." - that was his dirty plan all along, to "forget" :(
