Fiona

I adore this girl.

I have felt like a neglectful momma towards this girl lately because I have been spread so thin with kids.

But we have gotten into a good groove with 3 hooligans and I feel like I have been able to get back to lovin on her the way she needs.

We got her when I was pregnant with Rome.

They told us she was a great dane boxer mix - we thought she was going to be huge, so we named her after princess Fiona from shrek.

Well then this little girl didn't grow up to be that big.

Turns out she was actually a boxer pit bull mix.

She is the sweetest and most tender thing.

She follows me everywhere and I'm pretty sure she has a crush on Nick because I can't get her to look at me the same way ;)

I love her so and I am looking forward to many more years to come with this lady.

Oh yes

Oh yes, it is the time!

The time when everyone is blogging pictures of pumpkins and soon, Halloween costumes.

So I don't feel left out, here is our trip to get some pumpkins!

First off, those curls!
I die.
And pray they don't fall out like Lolas.

He spent a lot of his pumpkin time playing with rocks..... such a boy

haha! I love this pic, she looks like my darling grandpa Davis to me here

Seriously?
This kid is so handsome!
He just lost his second tooth the night before - too cute!

Oh my darling daughter "posing" for the camera :)

Hooligan contained - yessss!

Oh, and just one more of my darling
(notice the penny in his mouth? neither did I till now! tsk tsk)

Oh Hi!

Let's just be honest for a second here...

I am one of the many who has stopped blogging because of Instagram.

I'm sorry!

It couldn't be helped.

Instagram takes way less brain power ;)

And for the busy summertime it's been awesome!

Oh, and then my wonderful computer crashed with my photoshop so I have been less than inclined.

BUT!

I am determined to suck it up - unedited pictures and all!

:)

We had an amazing summer!

We finally made it down to see my sister and her family in St. George

Why yes that is my son in a pink swimming thingy - we totally forgot his swimming suit - thank goodness for cousins his same size-ish - even if it had to be pink :)

We had so much fun!!!

I wish we could go down every weekend.

We miss them way too much :)

I have finally accepted that it is indeed Fall and Summer is dead.

Every year I go through a little period of mourning and light depression and come out unscathed and here I am!

Ready to embrace stupid fall and all it's lovely offerings :)

Lol

So yes, I am back!!!

Your welcome.

Roman.....

Six years ago today I gave birth to my first child.

He came out with fuzzy blond hair and a dimple in one cheek.

We named him Roman Grover.

:)

I honestly feel like I can't do justice to this kid by putting him into words....he's just too amazing!

He has had my heart in his pocket for the past 6 years and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I wouldn't know who I was if I wasn't his mother.

He is one of the best people I know and has the sweetest soul.

Roman,
I adore you.
You are the best big brother I have ever met and the kindest friend.
You are so dang smart and talented and you will do amazing things!
You make so many people happy and I love you more than I can say.
I am honored to be your mother.
:)

I love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

P-o-o-l

Yesterday we went swimming.

It was the last day the pool would be open this year.

My heart is broken.

We had so much fun!

Especially this little man...

He would run around the shallow end, face plant in the water, jump up and keep on running.

I took him into the deep end a couple of times (which he usually loves) and he threw a fit the entire time.

He wanted to be back running around and didn't care how scared I was for him :)

It's amazing to see how kids change from the beginning of summer to the end.

Roman is probably the worst when it comes to water.

He hates getting it in his eyes and is really tender at the pool.

But he now goes down the 'big slide' by himself!!

I'm totally bummed that the pool is closed, we had a lot of fun there this summer.

So here's to already dreaming of next year!

So she's 3....

Dear Lola,

Today you are 3!!

When a momma has a baby and brings that little one home, it is a very special time. But there was something extra special about our first weeks with you.

It really was heaven on earth and it's a time I ache for, it was just that amazing.

Maybe it was God giving us a little piece of heaven to help us through the wild, sassy life of a girl ;)

I have adored every minute of you.

I still look at you with wonder, and can't believe that you are mine.

There is something so special about you and I am honored to be your momma.

I love you my little Lola-roo.

Happy Birthday lady love!!!

xoxo

26

You guys....I just hit my late 20's.

My late 20's people!!

This is just not right because I still think I'm 19.

Despite the gross fact that I am getting older and still needing to learn to cope with it - my birthday was awesome!

I gotta just gush about my hubby because he is what made it really great.

We went out to dinner and had the best time.

I am so out of control in love with that man I about can't stand it!

It's amazing how our love has grown and changed over 8 years.

It's deeper. Stronger. More beautiful.

He really is it for me.

And I couldn't be happier about it.

So happy birthday to me and a big fat Thank You to all those who made it great!!!

:D

The boy is 1!!

Let's just be honest about all this shall we?

I have been a mess.

I get really emotional when my babies turn 1 but after that it's pretty smooth sailing ;)

I have been extra tender with this one because hey, he is my last baby.

This is the last 1 year old I will ever have.

And isn't it amazing, that looking back now I can only remember the good? The bad just doesn't seem so bad now.

And that my friends is how women keep having babies.

 ;)

Nixon my little darling,

Wanna chat about some random memories?

Me too!!!

Remember how special it was just you, me, and your dad in the hospital?

Being able to concentrate on you and only you is one of my favorite memories.

Swaddling your in your yellow, gray, and white blanket and sleeping off the big adventure we just had??

Thank goodness we had Aunt Aariel come visit because there was a diaper change that literally took all 3 of us to get under control. I'm shocked I haven't scared her out of having babies yet ;)

Remember how I felt so guilty every time I put you in your bassinet to sleep so I would hold you until I was ready, and I would end up sleeping with you in my arms all night?

Remember how that's how we still do it now just with kicks to my head and head butts into my face?

Good times. ;)

Remember staying up late watching Manhunters and I would eat skinny cow ice cream and you would have some breast milk?

Remember how we struggled to breastfeed?

I cried so hard the night I decided to give in and bottle feed you.

Remember how everything turned out just fine?
:)

Remember when you would wake up in the night, you would be so hungry and need to be changed at the same time so I would literally hold your bottle with my chin and change your diaper at the same time so you would be happy and your dad could keep sleeping?

Remember how you came into our lives and changed everything?

How you completed our family?

I love you every day.

You make my heart happy and I adore every single stinkin part of you.

Your giant smile, your eyes, your curly hair, your sense of adventure, your independence, your giggle, your chubby belly, your gappy teeth, your big feet - I could go on and on!

Happy Birthday my little love!!

Love, Momma
xoxo

10

Nixon,

To celebrate you turning 10 months old, I wanted to tell you 10 things that I love and adore about you....

1. I love that tickling your back gets you to calm down and often gets you to fall asleep.

2. I love how wild and strong you are.

3. I love how you steal food from your siblings and that I can't count the number of times I have caught you with your own apple.

4. I love that we can't tell what color of eyes you really have. They are a deep blue with brown in the middle. I wonder if they will stay or change. Either way, they are beautiful.

5. I love that you still sleep in our bed.

6. I love watching you watch the kids play in the back yard through the windows of the back door.

7. I love how much you love your dad. You can't get enough of him. You freak out when he comes home and cry when he leaves.

8. I love that you look exactly how I thought you would. I knew you would have soft blond curls.

9. I love your dimples and they way your smile lights up your face.

10. I love that since you were a newborn you are always happy to see me and want me. When you were almost 4 weeks old you opened your eyes, saw me, closed them and smiled. It has always felt like you were happy I was around and that is an incredible feeling.

I love you Nixy!!!!!

Tell me I'm not the only one :)

Man oh man.

I am too young to know what I'm doing in reguards to raising my children - do ya feel me?!

I always assumed that my mom knew what she was doing because I never remember her struggling. She just always knew what to do.

I assumed that when I became a mother I would magically know everything.

3 kids later and I'm pretty sure I have the baby thing down pat.

But the thing that I didn't realize is that I don't have all the answers.

I dont' magically know everything.

I didn't realize that I would have to tell my children that my mom died and why.

I didn't realize that i would need tell my son at such a young age that not everyone belives in the same thing but we try to understand and love one another anyway.

I understood that parenting would be filled with time outs and changing diapers.

But I honeslty didn't realize that I am literally helping shape a human being into what they will be in this life.

Not in the future when I will magically have all the answers, but now.

So how do I do that when I still feel like a 19 year old girl?

Like who gave me permission to help guide another person in this life when I don't know exactly how?

What I do realize is that I have a lot of growing and learning to do.

And everyday I am changing and growing right alongside my tiny loves.

Even though I don't have all the answers, I got a lot of love and that's gotta count for something right?

 Right?!?!

:)

Nixon M.

So my youngest little darling is 9 months!!!

Here is some Nixon via instagram

I really can't say enough good things about you Nix.

You now love tubby time!! (before it was a lot of crying and shaking) - you get so wild and crazy it's like your playing on a slip n' slide. The kids love getting to bathe with you because you splash and get so excited - it's a lot of fun - and wetness. :)

You now wave thanks to the help of your great grandma Jensen. She was the first to get you to wave and the first to get you to wave at everyone else - not just at her :) I love it. It's so special. She loves you so and is very proud of you, I pray you get some good time with her. She's beautiful!

You are wild and crazy and the best!

Seriously, it's hard to imagine it being any better than this - I'm having the time of my life with you!

I love love love you so!

Boys

Roman and Jameson are not just cousins, they are best friends.

They are 3 years apart.

And have had a connection since before Rome came out of my belly.

Jameson was 3 when I was pregnant with Rome and he would say "he's comin after peach days!"

Their 3 year gap hasn't made them skip a beat.

They have always played so well together.

They have always been best friends.

Today Jameson and his family had to move away.

It was incredibly hard but Roman sent me over the edge (emotionally) when he cried about it numerous times.

He would cry and shake and break my heart.

It has been extreemly hard watching my son experience heartache for the first time in his young life.

We know we will see them again and are happy for them and their new adventure.

But we will miss them everyday.

We love you Jameson Wayne!!!!

Here I am

The weather has been so awesome lately that we have been playing like crazy!

Bbq-ing, throwing the tramp up, playing outside, buying water mellon, and fighting off wasps which for some reason adore my house and love to torment me.

Easter was beautiful.

My sister moved and I am crushed, but also stoked that she moved somewhere that is warm during the winter so I can go see her and the sun.

My life is full right now.

Amazing and full.

I love it.

8 whole months

Nixon, I feel like words don't do you justice.

When I look at you beautiful words comes to mind.

Precious. Heavenly. Happy. Beautiful. love.

But even these don't feel like they do the job.

I adore you.

I am so happy you are my son.

You are quite the wild one.

You are always go go go.

You have added momma for sure and na na to your vocabulary

You still eat like a champ.

You can now get down from when you pull up onto something which is so nice because now you don't cry for help.

You are getting your 2 top teeth in at the same time and needless to say, you are none too pleased.

You got sick a couple of weeks ago and you are now getting back to being yourself.

For over a week you wouldn't let me put you down. You slept so restlessly and you were miserable. I felt terrible I couldn't help.

I love seeing the "old you" come back ;)

You sleep 1/2 the night in your crib and the other 1/2 in my bed.

I'm totally cool with it and I would go as far as to say I love it.

I love you Nix.

Happy 8 months my love!
