Let's catch up shall we?

 

 

Life. Is. Awesome.

 

The kids are growing up way too fast.

 

 

 

Roman just finished Kindergarten. He will be in 1st grade this fall! He is so dang smart. He has excelled at reading and math and does amazing in school. The way he looks and acts has changed so much in only a year. He loves to read, play video games and play with cousins. No special interests currently but still wants to be a cop when he grows up :)

 

 

Lola just finished her first year of preschool! She loved it! She is so sassy and smart. She knows how to work people. She also just finished up her first year of dance. She has grown so much and acts like such a big kid. She is gorgeous and I can't help but love how she still snuggles and kisses me so much. She loves anything girl - barbies, babies, stuffed animals ect. She adores her cousins and loves to play. This girl wants to be a cowgirl when she grows up lol

 

 

Nixon. Oh Nixon. This wild man has settled down a little bit. Being able to communicate as he has gotten older has helped so much. Not so much screaming :) He is a tricky little kid. He always thinks he is so sneaky. He kisses with his bottom lip stuck out and he gives them to me any time I ask - I don't even have to fake cry anymore :) He is talking a lot more and putting together sentences. It has been so cool! Yesterday he told Lola "Hit daddy butt Lola!" - so she did :)

 

 

Nick has been loving his new (not so new anymore) job. Summer is the slowest time (40-50 hrs a week) So we have been loving having our weekends back! We feel like a normalish family again lol. Usually in the fall, winter and through a lot of spring they work 70 hour weeks with no days off for months at a time. I hate it. But knowing that he loves what he does makes it worth it :)

 

 

I got called to be in the Young Womens and I adore it! The girls are so much fun and I LOVE teaching them. My mistakes have ended up helping me in being able to connect and understand them. Isn't it funny? I am still at home with the kids and I really do love it :D

 

 

So here we are blog.

He definitely gives me a run for my money and I wish I was like those magical celebrities who lose the baby weight by "chasing kids" cuz dang.... I'd be down a lot of poundage ;)

You are a man of few words and basically refuse to say anything when asked BUT you can say....

You love shoes, and are obsessed with putting on every pair you come across.

 

You are still an avid lover of Toy Story

 

You sneak into the bathroom any chance you can. It's like you have a 6th sense of when the door gets left open :)

 

You still hate getting strapped into your carseat.

 

You refuse to eat unless you get to do it by yourself, no matter how messy it is.

 

You love to listen to music with me and share my headphones.

 

Every single meal you climb on top of the table and terrorize your siblings who aren't finished yet.

 

You can hurdle out of your crib like a track star and get out every night to come sleep with me.

 

You refuse to stop playing with outlets and rip out the child proofing tabs in them.

 

 

Little boy, I love you!

 

Despite your craziness you are beyond sweet and cuddly and caring. You can't get enough of your dad and you adore your brother and sister.

Dude!

 

I'm pretty freaking excited for 2013.

 

No particular reason - just a feeling I get.

 

*p.s. just realized I wrote 2012 the first time - face palm!*

 

 

Nothing major is happening this year for the first time in a long time.

 

Nick got a bangin new job that we have already adjusted to and no more babies on the way.

 

 

To be done having kids brings me an incredible sense of peace and excitement.

 

I am crazy excited about what this new stage of life has to offer.

 

We are a family of 5 and I LOVE it!!

 

 

I am learning to love myself in ways I didn't think I could.

 

Embracing my flaws and loving them.

 

I owe a lot of my self lovin to my little big sister Brein.

 

She and I are kindred spirits and we just get each other.

 

We also have a lot of the same flaws so it helps to have a friend to help ya get through things a man just doesn't get, am I right?!

 

 

I am incredibly blessed and happy.

 

 

I have a hubby who is the hardest worker I have ever met, my best friend and 8 years later we are still crazy in love with each other.

 

I have a 6 year old boy who is incredibly smart and has the most tender soul.

 

I have a 3 year old daughter that is so packed full of drama and is the best kisser.

 

And I have a 1 year old son who is incredibly sweet and loving but also raises hell on a daily basis.

 

 

Wow. I am one lucky, lucky girl.
