The 7th month

HAPPY 7 MONTHS NIX!!!!

How did we get here so soon?!?!

My dear chubby little nugget you are now 18 lbs.

You LOVE to eat.

You crawl everywhere.

And you now think you get to climb up the stairs.

You say Dada and Baba & when you cry I have heard you say Mama even though I don't have a witness so technically it doesn't count ;)

You just got your first tooth!

You love to sleep on your belly.

You love your siblings and scream when you play with them because you are so excited and happy.

You are the epitome of a "bouncing baby boy"

You are honestly the icing on the cake of our family.

I am beyond proud to be your momma.

I love you!!!

xoxo

SUNday

I love Sundays.

I really don't have a lot to say - just a few randoms:

*My super lovely husband got me an awesome new lens for my camera and I am in L-o-v-e!

*One of my favorite things is when I notice that my kids are quiet and when I check on them they are playing together. My childrens like to be all up in my business all day. I have to force them to go play with each other and it usually involves eye rolling and crying. So it's nice when it happens naturally.

*It's almost March and I still don't dare let myself get excited for spring.

*I have been "nesting" these past few weeks and not only am I not pregnant, I'm not really acting on any of my nesting instincts.

*Nixon is the first of my babies to try regular food as well as baby foods. And let me tell ya, it's liberating! I talked to his dr and it's cool as long as I take it slow. I'm lovin it!

*Roman went to get his kindergarten shots and he took them like a champ! We had a good time with the things he would say to the dr. - and it turned out to be a lot of fun topped with ice cream and Warrens mmmm

I know all of this is super exciting and just might have put you over the edge but I just had to share! ;)

L-dawg

My lady has been on my mind a lot lately.

Not sure why.

She is happy - beautiful - seemingly well adjusted.

Not sure what it is but I can't shake it.

I think girlfriend probably needs some extra attention.

She needs an outlet.

Her older brother has preschool and dance.

She pretends she has preschool and dance. ;)

We tried having our own "preschool" while the baby was asleep the other day - I think she liked it...

I need to remember to do more one on one time with this gal.

She is seriously the best.

She is funny.

Sassy.

BEAUTIFUL.

Silly.

And she is still cool enough to give me good kisses and loves.

We tease my dad because when we were younger in church he would put his arm around you and whisper in your ear "don't you know your my girl?"

We tease because of the way he whispered.

But I love that.

And I totally get it now.

She's my girl.

Darn you PINTEREST!!!

Oh pinterest -

not only are you a giant time waster but you also succeed in tricking me into thinking "I could do that!"

And then it never pans out and I feel like a home-makin failure.

For Romans valentines this year I was itching to get creative.

And then I was kicking myself the entire time - crying inside for not just getting the standard cards from the store.

For those of you who know me know me - know that I'm terrible at crafty things.

I feel like I end up (trying to think of a different word other than half assing but I can't so excuse me ;) half assing most every craft I do.

 but I have good intentions.

At first.

And then it doesn't look how I want so i just hurry so it's finished.

So without further adoo

(yeah not doing very good grammarically tonight :)

Here are some pics of my turmoil I put myself through the day before Valentines day + a few cute faces that helped/hindered me along....

They looked so easy!

On pinterest....

But they were a pain in the butt.

Especially for someone who hasn't sewn since high school.

So next year...

I'll probably make the same mistake again ;)

St. George

So we went on a little vacation to St. George...

And it all started with Protandim...

What's protandim you ask?

Check it for yourself!

It's AMAZING!

Seriously, it has done wonders for my family and I am telling everyone I know!

ANYWHO!

I went to Elite Academy for protandim in Vegas with my sister and a few friends.

Before I went to Vegas, my little family and I went to St. George together. After a couple of days together my sister picked me up and I continued on to Vegas while the fam headed home :(

St. George and Hurricane are beyond gorgeous!

It was like a different world.

So beautiful.

We rented a jeep and traveled around the Sand dunes and went hunting for Dinosaur tracks...

Look at that rag tag bunch of travelers...

You can drive to this point where you gotta get outta your car and travel on foot to see the dinosaur tracks.

They are amazing!

They are right there on the trail and you can even touch them and everything! ;)

The next day we went to more of a museum type place to see even more dino tracks.

They had incredible tracks but it took the fun out of it not being able to touch them and I loved that the others were out in nature, not in a building.

The kids loved it though.... for about 15 minutes ;)

Honestly the best part about the museum was the gift shop where we picked up this bad boy...

Who hasn't dreamed about being a paleontologist?

It just looks like a lot of fancy brushing and gentle digging.

Nick and I may or may not have bought that for ourselves...

and we may or may not have been fighting over it while the kids played in the sandbox outside the museum ;)

St. George temple.

So gorgeous surrounded my the red mountains.

Before my family headed home we killed time playing at a park.

It was so refreshing to be outside!

Rome and I played with my camera on a bridge nearby...

He likes to make this face so he can make sure his dimple shows up ;)

And every time he asks "can you see my dimple?"

He used to say "can you see my nipple?" - but I had to be a proper grown up and correct him - boo!

And he was the photographer behind this MARVELOUS picture of me :P

We had so much fun!

And I was so sad to see my family go.

I was so excited to get some grownup time in Vegas but most the time I was just missing my husband and my kids.

Oh motherhood you have changed me so.

;)
